Crosstex Energy Receives Prestigious Safety Award from Gas Processors Association

DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 7, 2007--The Gas Processors Association (GPA) has recognized Crosstex Energy, L.P. (NASDAQ: XTEX) (the Partnership) for the company's outstanding safety record in 2006 and awarded Crosstex second place in the GPA's Division I category. Crosstex employees worked more than 815,000 hours in 2006 with the second-lowest incident rate among the largest companies in the oil and gas industry, operating in the United States. This is the first year Crosstex has been honored by the GPA.

The GPA, an incorporated nonprofit trade association with 110 corporate members in the natural gas processing industry, categorizes U.S. energy companies in three divisions based on hours worked and then judges them for their safety achievements. The Division I category includes companies with more than 500,000 hours worked annually.
