DALLAS, March 6 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Crosstex Energy (Nasdaq: XTEX)
announced that A. Chris Aulds has been appointed as Executive Vice President
of Public and Industry Affairs. In this role, Aulds will be responsible for
all of Crosstex's internal and external communications while strategically
focusing in the areas of community, industry and governmental relations, as
well as corporate branding.
Aulds was part of the management buyout of Comstock Natural Gas in 1996
that formed Crosstex Energy Services. Since that time Aulds has played a key
role in the company's growth. Most recently, he was responsible for the
integration of the El Paso South Louisiana Processing assets and employees
that were acquired on November 1, 2005. During his tenure with the company he
has also led the Producer Services Group, Treating Division, as well as
Crosstex's Eastern Division.

A 20-year veteran of the oil and gas industry, Aulds has held several
critical roles in his professional career including vice president of gas
supply, marketing, new business development, and risk management services at
both Victoria Gas and later at Comstock Natural Gas. Aulds started his career
with Mobil Oil Corporation after earning his bachelor's degree in petroleum
engineering from Texas Tech University.
